ExceleraRx Corp., a national specialty pharmacy network, has named James M. Fox as it Chief Executive Officer
MINNEAPOLIS, August 28, 2014 — ExceleraRx Corp., a national specialty pharmacy network, has named James M. Fox as its Chief Executive Officer. Fox will join Excelera on Sept. 1, 2014.
“Jim Fox is absolutely the right choice to serve as President and CEO of this innovative organization that’s leading the way in specialty pharmacy services,” said Nick Barto, Senior Vice President of Catholic Health Initiatives based in Englewood, Colo., who led the ExceleraRx Board search committee. “Under Jim’s leadership, Excelera will effectively support its members in developing and operating specialty pharmacies that improve patient care and reduce the total cost of care.”
Fox is a proven leader with more than 35 years of executive leadership experience in health care. He served as Chief Financial Officer for Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis where he was instrumental in the start up and operations of Fairview Pharmacy Services. Most recently, he has been partnered with national organizations, including Excelera, to develop innovative, high-value health care services.

Excelera, based in Minneapolis, was formed in 2012 to enable member organizations to gain access to limited-distribution drugs and provide continuity of care for patients with complex conditions who require specialty drugs.
