System Vice President, Transaction Due Diligence – CommonSpirit Health

Gary joined CommonSpirit in 2011. He provides leadership, project management and support for CSH’s National and local market mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, divestitures, joint ventures and other business combinations.  Working closely with other members of CSH’s Strategic Growth and National Business Lines Team, CSH National and local market executive leadership and functional team leaders, Gary’s primary responsibilities include developing overall work plans for transactions, providing leadership for the due diligence review process, and supporting the negotiation, integration, business case and transaction closing processes.  Gary also serves as CSH’s primary point of contact for CulturaLink, a language services company in which CSH has a financial interest, providing leadership to the company as it expands its platform across CSH and several other large healthcare organizations.

Prior to joining CSH, Gary was Managing Principal and co-founder of Legacy Healthcare Consultants, LLC, a strategic and financial planning consulting firm that provided services to healthcare organizations.   Prior to that, he was a consultant with Healthcare Futures LP and a Senior Manager with KPMG LLP.

Gary received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University, a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
